Seven injured Syrians hospitalized in Israel
They were wounded Saturday in fighting between Syrian troops and rebels in villages near Israel’s Golan border. Israeli soldiers guarding the border gave the Syrians first aid and then transferred the wounded men to the Zieff Hospital in Safed. This was the first time in the two-year civil warIsrael has accepted Syrian war casualties in its hospitals. The statement did not specify whether they were soldiers or rebels.
