At least 15 people dead and dozens wounded in car bomb blast in Homs, Syria

At least 15 people are reported to be dead and dozens injured in an explosion that rocked the Hamra district of Homs, Syria. The blast happened near the Mosque of Omar and a nearby stadium.
Many of the wounded are in critical condition, Syria's state news agency SANA reported.
There may have been refugee camps in the area, according to reports.

Many nearby residential buildings were damaged in the blast.

Homs has been a frequent battleground during the 20 month uprising against President Bashar Assad.
