Israel’s center-left party leaders join to
overturn Netanyahu’s Likud
Labor leader Shelly Yacimovich responded Friday to an appeal by Tzipil Livni,
head of “The Movement,” during a Channel 2 broadcast to join forces on a common
platform to prevent Binyamin Netanyahu, head of Likud, forming the next
government after the Jan 22, general election. They arranged to get together
Saturday night. Livni also invited Yair Lapid, founder of Yesh Atid (Future) to
join this bloc. She maintained that Netanyahu and partner, Avigdor Lieberman,
must be stopped before the bring disaster on the country.
