Israeli workers had to scramble Wednesday to find transportation forUnited States President Barack Obama after the limousine that was to have taken him around the country broke down at the last minute.
Organizers discovered the malfunction shortly before Obama’s arrival.
Staff had attempted to prepare for every scenario, and reportedly had even obtained generators and similarbackup equipment in case any systems failed. However, they were not ready with a replacement car.
While organizers must work quickly, they have some time, as Obama will not be needing a limousine to travel from the airport. The U.S. president is scheduled to leave Ben Gurion International Airport by helicopter.
