Christians ARE too scared to admit beliefs - because they fear being mocked or treated like bigots, say equality chiefs

End Of Days News

Persecuted: The study of 2,500 people found many of the Christians who took part felt they needed to hide their faith at work or at school, for fear of being called bigots or being mocked

Nearly 2,500 people of all faiths were quizzed about religion at work for the nationwide study. It follows years of conflict over Christians’ right to act in accordance with their religious beliefs.

A series of high-profile court battles have left many feeling that the law is tilted against them and that gay rights trump their own.

Many of the major test cases have been backed by the equality commission itself, including the successful Supreme Court case brought by a gay couple against hoteliers Peter and Hazelmary Bull, who declined to rent them a room because they were not married.

The commission is currently backing a legal claim against a Belfast-based Christian-run bakery that wouldn’t bake a cake bearing a slogan that supported gay marriage.

Of those who responded to the commission’s survey, 1,030 said they were Christian. The next largest group –188 – were atheist. People of other faiths made up the rest.

“Don’t believe in God? Join the club.”

End Of Days News

A new billboard, left, countering the Coalition of Reason's billboard, right, is seen on 12th Street near Grange Avenue in Sioux Falls Monday, Aug. 26, 2013.

Sioux Falls has dueling billboards.

A sign went up on West 12th Street last week saying, “Don’t believe in God? Join the club.”

Now another sign is up greeting motorists at 12th and Grange. It quotes Psalm 14.
“The fool hath said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’”

BSR Construction is sponsoring the new billboard in direct response to the sign that the South Dakota Coalition of Reason placed last week.

“I think there’s a lot of people who do believe in God, and I just wanted to represent them,” said William Kreider, 44, owner of BSR Construction.

Westbound motorists at 12th and Grange can see both signs at the same time. More

Crowd stunned after valedictorian rips up speech, recites Lord’s prayer

End Of Days News

A South Carolina valedictorian garnered wild applause after he ripped up his pre-approved speech and delivered the Lord’s prayer at his high school graduation on Saturday.

The act was apparently in protest of the Pickens County School District’s decision to no longer include prayer at graduation ceremonies, Christian News reported. Officials said the decision was made after the district was barraged with complaints by atheist groups.

But that didn’t stop Roy Costner IV of Liberty High School. He ripped up his graduation speech for all to see, before he started talking about his Christian upbringing, Christian News reported.

“Those that we look up to, they have helped carve and mold us into the young adults that we are today,” he said. “I’m so glad that both of my parents led me to the Lord at a young age.”

“And I think most of you will understand when I say…” he paused. “Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name…” The auditorium began to erupt with applause and cheers.

“Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,” he continued. “For Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.”

Pickens County School District spokesman John Eby said that no disciplinary action will be taken against Mr. Costner.

PENTAGON BEGAN RELATIONSHIP WITH ANTI-CHRISTIAN EXTREMIST IN 2009

End Of Days News

The Obama-Hagel Pentagon is trying to minimize Breitbart News’blockbuster story last week of top brass meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein, whom we reported calls Christians “monsters” imposing a “rapacious reign of theocratic terror” and says sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military an act of “sedition and treason” that must be punished.

The Pentagon sent out an email suggesting the Apr. 23 meeting with Weinstein in the Pentagon was a one-time event, saying only, “Weinstein requested, and was granted, a meeting at the Pentagon [on] April 23, with the Air Force Judge Advocate General and others, to include the Deputy Chief of Chaplains, to express his concerns of religious issues in the military.”
However, this was not a single meeting. Instead it was part of a relationship that began one month after Barack Obama was sworn in as president. And it goes much higher up the military food chain than was reported last week: Weinstein met with a four-star general who was the highest-ranking officer in the United States Air Force.
The New York Times reported on Mar. 1, 2009, in a story entitled, “Questions Raised Anew About Religion in Military,” that Weinstein met with the Air Force Chief of Staff, Gen. Norton Schwarz, on Feb. 24, 2009. The story noted this was the first time Weinstein and his Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) had “gotten an audience with a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.”
Weinstein had sued the Defense Department during the Bush administration as part of his anti-Christian crusade, so Pentagon top brass knew exactly who he was and what he was about when the new Obama administration met with him in 2009. This means he had been fully-vetted when the Obama-Hagel Defense Department decided to meet with him again on Apr. 23, 2013, to discuss how to stop evangelizing (that is, Christian proselytizing) within the military.
The Bush administration had fought Weinstein, saying that any instances of senior officers pressuring subordinates on religious matters were “not systematic problems, but isolated instances.” And biblical Christians fully object to any coercion, since evangelism is about people embracing the Christian faith wholeheartedly and sincerely, which no person could ever force upon another. It’s a matter of the heart, between every human being and their creator.
By contrast, while the Bush administration fought Weinstein, the Obama administration has embraced this anti-Christian activist.

Get a Cross Removed and Get a Reward?

End Of Days News

Get a Cross Removed and Get a Reward?

football_helmet_thumbDo you need some money? Find a cross somewhere in the public and help get it removed and you might score a reward from the FFRF atheist organization. Two students recently complained about the cross on their school’s football logo and received $1,000 bounty a piece for their efforts.
Here’s the story from OneNewsNow:
The Freedom From Religion Foundation celebrated its victory in removing all things religious from the football uniforms of a combined Catholic / public school team.
… a Wisconsin co-op football team composed of the private Catholic Messmer High School and the public Shorewood High School was forced to remove its new team logo last fall. The logo affixed to the team’s helmets (above) mixed the images of both schools — the Shorewood greyhound and Messmer’s bishop’s hat with a cross. …
A $1,000 reward given to both Mayan and Balen Essak for their role in getting rid of the cross — and a generic logo replacement having nothing to do with either school, simply reading “2012 PLAYOFFS” …

Response: Now there are rewards for eradicating crosses?
The cross use to be a symbol of honor in America and in the West but now it has become an object of scorn to fight over in the courts. For those who can’t afford the legal battle it is now a casualty in the ultimate culture war of all time- against religion and Christianity in particular.
Does anyone out there (besides atheist activists) really think that it is healthy and real progress to offer rewards for the discovery and eradication of crosses in America? Particularly in this case where the cross was representative of the Catholic Messmer High School which was part of this combined football team. The logo merely demonstrated the reality of the situation that included public and private funds supporting a team that was both public and religious. The logo probably could have survived a court battle but what school or schools in America have the money to fight the FFRF? SOURCE

Lord Jesus, I am so sorry for how they treat you and your name, PLEASE help them find you and repent! Military: Crosses Remove 'Our of Respect for Other Faiths'

End Of Days News

Religious liberty advocates are denouncing the U.S. military’s order to remove a steeple and Christian crosses from an Army chapel in Afghanistan.

“We can confirm that those items were removed from the chapel,” said a spokesman for the ISAF Joint Command. “These items were removed out of respect for the beliefs of other faiths.”
The Pentagon confirmed to Fox News that cross-shaped windows on the chapel were boarded up – until they can be replaced with non-offensive doors.
The chapel, located at Forward Operation Base Orgun-E, became the subject of controversy after an atheist soldier complained and the president of American Atheists sent a letter to the Pentagon.
