In ancient times watchman would mount the city walls in times of stress to survey the scene outside the fortifications. He was situated on a spot from which he could monitor the approaches to the town. If a threat appeared, he would sound a warning and the town would shut its gates and prepare for battle.

Plainly proving, by the Scripture, that not only the Rude and Profane, but many great Professors, will come short of that Kingdom.
End Of Days News
TO THE READER
Self-flatteries, self-deceivings, are easy and pleasant, but damnable. The Lord give thee an heart to judge right of thyself, right of this book, and so prepare for eternity, that thou mayst not only expect entrance, but be received into the kingdom of Christ and of God.
"Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." — Matthew 7:13, 14.
TO THE READER
COURTEOUS READER,
God (I hope) hath put it into my heart to write unto thee another time, and that about matters of the greatest moment (for now we discourse not about things controverted among the godly, but directly about the saving or damning of the soul; yea, moreover, this discourse is about the fewness of them that shall be saved, and it proves that many an high professor will come short of eternal life); wherefore the matter must needs be sharp, and so disliked by some, but let it not be rejected by thee. The text calls for sharpness, so do the times, yea, the faithful discharge of my duty towards thee hath put me upon it.

What If I Missed the Rapture can I still be saved???
End Of Days News

Can I still be saved
One of the most frequently asked questions in regard to the Tribulation time period is whether or not anyone will come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ during that difficult time. We already know that 144,000 people from the various tribes of Israel will be set apart for the Lord, but they will not be alone! God will call to himself a countless number of believers in Jesus “from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues” (Revelation 7:9). However, in contrast to the protected number of Hebrew believers in 7:1-8, these gentile believers will suffer persecution and martyrdom. In fact, when John’s vision of the great multitude opened, these believers were already pictured in heaven, having suffered physical death at the hands of God’s enemies.
Those who come to believe during the Great Tribulation will be in one of two groups. The first group will be the remnant of physical Israel sealed for protection and called to testify concerning Christ (Revelation 7:1-8). The second group will comprised of the masses of gentiles who believe in Christ and suffer persecution and martyrdom for their faith. These martyrs will come out of the Great Tribulation through death, but their suffering will instantly give way to victorious worship as they join the heavenly chorus in praise to “our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb” (Revelation 7:10)As we’ve stated more in depth on this web site, “The Rapture of The Church” is the calling up of God’s people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior into Heaven. The scriptures in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 describe The Rapture.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
One will not have to wonder if The Rapture has happened, so don’t be deceived! Millions and millions of people will have left the Earth in the blink of an eye as written in 1 Corinthians 15: 51-52…51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
One moment Christians are here working, going to school, driving cars, flying in airplanes, making dinner and the next second, they are in Heaven with Jesus. The people left behind on the Earth will experience chaos like has never been seen before. Everyday life will never be the same again.
Besides the chaos caused by millions of Christians leaving the world at once, unfortunately it gets even worse. The Antichrist will be imposing his will over those left behind and at the same time God’s judgments will be pouring out onto the Earth. During these tribulations, the Bible states that one half of the remaining population will die due to disease, famine, war and directly because of failing to follow the Antichrist and his one world religion, government and financial system.
Thankfully, there is still hope for those people who miss The Rapture. In fact, it’s the same hope God gave to the people of his world thousands of years ago – his son, Jesus Christ. Even though the next several years will be unbelievably tough, all one has to do is to sincerely and with all of your heart, accept Jesus as your savior. In doing so, you become a Tribulation Saint and will ultimately be rewarded with eternal life with our Heavenly Father.

Is The Antichrist Revealed Before The Rapture? BY: http://beginningandend.com
End Of Days News
– Is The Man of Sin Revealed Before or After The Rapture? A Study of 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 –
2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 has been a major source of debate, question and confusion when it comes to discussion of the Rapture of the church and its timing. Many pastors, writers and Bible students cite this chapter as proof that the Rapture must occur after the Antichrist has been revealed, based on verse 3 of the chapter. But is this the case? This article will show a very simple interpretation of this much-debated verse and correct a common mistake in its interpretation that will show that in line with the timing outlined in the Beginning and End Rapture series, the Rapture of the Church indeed takes places before the Antichrist emerges on the global scene.
The Passage
The Passage
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? – 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5.
The verses in bold are where the Apostle Paul gives two clear “prophetic signposts”: the apostasy or falling away of many people in the church from the Christian faith and the revealing of “the man of sin”, a title for the Antichrist, the Satanically-empowered False Messiah who rule the world in the final years before the Second Coming of Christ. The questions and debates arise over, what event comes after these 2 signs? What is Paul talking about? Is he saying that the Rapture will not happen until the falling away and the revealing of the Antichrist? Will the church be here to see the Antichrist in power before being Raptured? Or is there another meaning altogether? Let’s examine the Scriptures in detail.
The Pentecost Prophecy
End Of Days News
Every year about this time, I reconsider studies done in the past, never forgetting the first time I realized the significance of the Jewish festivals. We do not formally observe them as do the Jews, but we certainly note their annual passing, as a parade of God’s master plan for the ages.
This issue of our magazine is entirely devoted to studying the powerful imagery implicit in the biblical festival of Pentecost. This article is one of three studies, each linking Pentecost with the prophetic destiny of the church. Anyone with a basic knowledge of the Bible knows that the church was born on Pentecost. It lies at the center of Israel’s seven feasts, at the pinnacle of the festival cycle. Biblically, culturally and historically, the symbolic power of Pentecost is unrivalled. It is laden with deep meaning and brimming with narratives that speak of God’s love, and His prophetic promises. We believe that there is a natural connection between Pentecost and the rapture of the church.
If you keep up with current news in the world of Christian prophecy studies, you’ve likely heard that the rapture could happen this month … on Pentecost. This year, since its observance happens to arrive on the date of Israel’s 65th birthday, speculation is more fervent than usual. Some have proclaimed that the long-awaited rapture could come during the period that begins on Tuesday evening, May 14th. At that time, they say, the church will be caught up, destabilizing global politics and leading to the tumult of a war in the Middle East. That war, or perhaps the first of a series of battles in that war, will destroy the power of the United States. Or, so goes the theory.
We have long advocated the view that Pentecost is a type of the rapture, not that the rapture must come exactly on any given Pentecost, though this timing is possible, perhaps even likely. We believe that it is of prime importance that we are actively anticipating Christ’s imminent return on any day. In Paul’s epistle to Titus, this position is clearly advocated:
“13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works” (Titus 2:13,14).
This year, the Jewish festival called Shavuot [Weeks] or Pentecost, falls on Wednesday and Thursday, the 6th and 7th of Sivan, corresponding to the 15th and 16th of May. But since the biblical description of this festival always places it on a Sunday, some would say that the nearest likely date would fall on either the preceding or following Sunday: either May 12th or May 19th. Actually, this uncertainty is quite appropriate, given the fact that Pentecost is called “the festival without a date.” In reality, its appearance, as originally calculated by the new moon, the Passover and a seven-week countdown, is quite flexible.
Pentecost, the harvest festival, falls in the middle of the seven major feasts of the Jewish calendar. They are Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Rosh HaShanah, Yom Kippur and Tabernacles.
