Former AMAN chief Yadlin: Iran has crossed Netanyahu’s last red line

End Of Days News

Netanyahu pleaded with the UN and the US president about Iran crossing a red line with uranium enrichment producing nuclear weapons in NY in September 2012! Well, Iran is now mocking and bragging that they have crossed it!

Amos Yadlin, former military intelligence chief, said Tuesday that Iran has crossed the red line Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu laid down before the UN Assembly last September. None of the measures for halting Iran’s race for a nuclear bomb have worked, he said. Tehran heeded the Israeli prime minister’s warning for a short while before returning to uranium enrichment at speed.

Likud lawmaker Tzahi Hanegbi said that the Iranian nuclear bomb program is in its final lap. The moment for a decision to halt Tehran’s capacity for building a bomb will be at hand only in the next month or two. Hanegbi disclosed that Netanyahu warned US President Barack Obama when he visited Israel last month that action to stop a nuclear Iran must be taken now or never.

Netanyahu: Iran is accelerating uranium enrichment

End Of Days News

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Monday Iran is accelerating efforts to enrich uranium and called for tougher international sanctions to prevent it from building a nuclear weapon. Speaking to a visiting delegation of American-Jewish organizational heads in Jerusalem, he said Iran needs to be convinced it faces a credible military threat. “I drew a red line” on the bomb at the UN, Netanyahu said. The Iranians “haven’t crossed that line, but what they are doing is shortening the time it takes to get there.”

Netanyahu said he expects to discuss the Iranian nuclear issue with US President Obama who arrives March 20 on a visit to Jerusalem, as well as the civil conflict in Syria and efforts to renew peace talks with the Palestinians.

Iran says it won’t stop uranium enrichment ‘for a moment’

TEHRAN, Iran — An Iranian diplomat says Tehran will not stop uranium enrichment “for a moment,” defying demands from the UN and world powers to halt its suspect nuclear program.

The comments by Ali Asghar Soltanieh, Iran’s delegate to the International Atomic Energy Agency, come just two days after senior IAEA investigators ended two days of intensive talks with Iranian officials on allegations the Islamic Republic may have carried out tests on triggers for atomic weapons.

His remarks reiterate Iran’s longstanding assertion that its enrichment program is for producing nuclear fuel and other peaceful purposes, and thus is Tehran’s right under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.

Soltanieh’s comments were reported by the official IRNA news agency Saturday.

On Friday, UN experts returned from Tehran without sealing a long-sought deal that would restart a probe of suspicions that Iran worked on atomic arms, adding to doubts that upcoming separate talks between six world powers and the Islamic Republic will succeed in reducing fears about Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Herman Nackaerts, who headed the team of International Atomic Energy Agency experts, said Friday that “Iran did not agree to allow [IAEA] inspectors into the Parchin military facility,” which is one focal point of the nuclear watchdog’s demands.

He said the two sides would meet again in the Iranian capital Feb. 12. But even if those talks make progress, they will come too late for an Iran-six nation meeting tentatively scheduled for the end of this month.

West fears Iran will try to seize Syria's uranium stockpile

Nuclear experts believe that the Syrian uranium is enough for the construction of at least five nuclear bombs; obtaining the uranium could help the Iranians begin a secret enrichment program without the international community's knowledge.

Amid the international community's concerns over Syria's possible use of its chemical weapon arsenal against its citizens and the possible transfer of those weapons to terror organizations, another worry has been added: a stockpile of some 50 tons of uranium that are still held by the Assad regime following the destruction of its planned nuclear reactor.

US media again hear positive signals from Tehran

The US media are again reporting signals that Iran is open to diplomacy for a deal to end its nuclear standoff with the West, just one day after they cited 2013 as the year of decision. According to the New York Times of Friday, Iran has slowed down uranium enrichment and this, according to one American official, amounts to putting “more time on the clock to solve this.” DEBKAfile: None of the umpteen diplomatic bouts over the years has ever caused Iran to yield an iota on its nuclear program but were used on the contrary to chalk up progress. According to ABC TV, an Iranian official says the controversial military site [at Parchin] may be opened to UN inspection “if foreign threats weaken.” DEBKAfile: Tehran has been toying with the nuclear agency on Parchin for two years.
