Is The Church In America Prepared For Red Alert / Martial Law??

Pam Schuffert Since 1996, have been consistently investigating, confirming and reporting that there are thousands of prisoner boxcars with shackles, manufactured out of Portland, OR by  GUNDERSON STEEL FABRICATION (and other separate boxcar manufacturing companies/operations located nationwide). First of all, I am not surprised at a train photographer getting arrested in Georgia. It has already been reported in Georgia that mobile prison units have been seen on train flatbeds in Georgia, and photos have been taken of them. (These photos used to be available, I believe, on the www.newswatchmagazine.org website.) Investigators like myself have been confident that such mobile prison units have been prepared for the hour of martial law takeover and massive civilian arrests. Through numerous contacts, including CIA/Naval Intel and other sources, it has been confirmed personally to me that there are numerous covert "concentration camps" located across America, Canada and Alaska for the hour of martial law and the seizure of this nation for the New World Order. Many of these camps are actual termination facilities, some equipped with gassing/crematory facilities. Some of these facilities are also incorporated into the military's  DUMB's (deep underground military facilities.) From sources inside the CIA, it was revealed to me that these numerous camps have been established to house and ultimately terminate what they consistently referred to as "the resisters of the New World Order." (Michael Maholy, 20 years CIA/Naval Intelligence; confirmed independently by Elaine Knost, former CIA assassin.) "Oh, all of us in the intelligence community know about the concentration camps and their purposes...we ALL know that they are to TERMINATE THE RESISTERS OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER UNDER MARTIAL LAW." They are all telling America the truth about the New World Order and it's dark agenda for America via the UN/martial law. And each one knows that they are irrevocably marked for persecution under the NWO/martial law agenda our nation is now entering into. People like them are the more open and obvious examples of "resisters of the NWO." Even now, sitting silently in classified government computers are the names of millions of fellow American Patriots ALREADY PROFILED as "resisters of the NWO." Such people have been marked for priority arrest, transport to these modern concentration camps (under FEMA or military jurisdiction,) interrogation in some cases, and ultimately termination for many Interrogation? "Are you a member of the militia? Who is your leader? Where are your secret cells located? How many secret weapons caches do you have?" Or, "Who is your Pastor? Where are your food supplies hidden? How many belong to your prayer group?" Etc. The CIA and the military have been secretly perfecting both mind control drugs and torture techniques designed to force compliance or to be used in interrogation sessions. I have been personally informed by former CIA  planners of the NWO agenda under martial law that those arrested can anticipate "...brutal rape, torture and death once they are arrested and taken ot the camps!" I know the credibility of these souces and I do not make these statements lightly. The people whom I have interviewed on this subject have been part of the "inner planning" of the coming New World order takeover for years. They know of what they speak. As one former CIA admitted , "I ever helped design the blueprints for some of these camps. And although  NOW I greatly regret my role, the camps stand to this day and will be activated under martial law." It was then that this source paused and revealed, "...I tell you, it will be brutal rape, torture and death once they are arrested and taken to the camps..." One person who worked with military planners for NWO takeover admitted to me during an interview, "We sat around discussing how long we could prolong the lives of arrested Christians under torture until they finally expired. We came up with 11-13 days." This source has written several books on this subject, including CIA/mlitary torture/mind control drugs testing and their victims, and whose father was a military participant in  all this. (Particularly hated by the NWO agenda are Christians who, for Bible-based reasons, will refuse to participate in their Luciferic based NWO. Former Satanists, who are the backbone of the NWO, have admitted this to me repeatedly. And this is the reason why Christians will be considered a major target for arrest and removal as NWO takeover progresses in America. How many times must I emphasize this to wake up the churches in America???) I have interviewed victim-survivors of the CIA/military torture practice sessions in facilities such as China Lake Naval Ordnance Research facility. Neither infants nor children were spared the horrors of such brutal testing...testing that left many of them either dead or scarred for life. Those "resisters of the NWO" who are not speedily terminated at the many gassing/cremating or microwaving facilities across America, Canada and Alaska may instead be diverted to facilities such as those located in deep underground military bases for human experimentation UNTIL THEY EXPIRE. (Remember Joseph Mengele and the Nazi doctors? Sadly, history DOES repeat itself.) Or turned over to Satanist covens for human sacrifice cannon fodder.  I have inside basis  and independent, repeat confirmations for each and every statement I have just made. I have interviewed many eye-witnesses to these prisoner boxcars. There are several varieties of prisoner boxcars, ranging from all new, metal, modern versions higher than average boxcars to refurbished older boxcars. Some have the modern guillotines (imported from Japan and China) installed in them, others do not. But ALL have shackles installed to restrain prisoners. One variety of prisoner boxcars has been imported from China, in the form of 40 foot cargo containers, with shackles installed and a modern guillotine at the head of each one. Their TRUE intentions are easily concealed from public scrutiny and have no windows. For all practical purposes, they appear to be normal Chinese cargo containers (like HANJIN, COSCO, etc.) that can be piggybacked on train flatbeds or trucks. It has been reported to me that originally 20,000 of these prisoner cargo containers were ordered from China. These were ordered under secret contract through one cooperating Congressman who met with officials in China. (And you WONDER why NWO supporters like Clinton and Bush Sr. and Jr. have had "love affairs" with China??? China, through supplying these prisoner boxcars,  has just enabled them to more speedily terminate the hated resisters of their NewWorld Order!) Some prisoner boxcars have been observed in Montana, at one point near Columbia Falls in the Glacier area. Personal friends taking a missionary journey across America stumbled upon them during a picture-taking expedition in the forest near Columbia Falls. My friend Marie recounted, "We were following the railroad tracks into the forest, so that we would not get lost and could find out way out. We were surprised as we followed them deeper into the woods to discover boxcars, looking out of place and all painted black. Suspicious, we decided to look inside one if we could. We saw one that had a door partially open. We struggled to slide it open all the way, and when our eyes adjusted to the dark interior, what we saw shocked us. There were rows of shackles installed in the boxcar. My friend Rose pointed to the end of the boxcar and I said, 'Rose, what IS that?'" "She replied, 'Why, Marie, don't you SEE what that is??? IT IS A GUILLOTINE!' " "We were frightened by then, and decided to follow the railroad tracks and leave the area. When we returned to our host's home and shared what we had seen, they got angry and told us, 'we WARNED you to stay away from that area! It has guards with rifles..you could have gotten killed!'" Marie admits she is under government surveillance and her phone is constantly monitored...simply for discovering a deadly secret. When I traveled to Montana to investigate, I encountered Patriots in Columbia Falls who admitted that, while hunting in the northern wilderness above Glacier, they had stumbled on these boxcars on remote sidetracks as well. (They also encountered Russian soldiers in training with American military counterparts.) I also met with Lee, a metal worker who admitted that there had been a "boxcar with shackles" operation in Glasgow, MT that employed summer youth workers one year to help weld shackles into boxcars. From there, they were shipped west, through Cut Bank and on to remote areas around Glacier to remain concealed until the hour of martial law takeover and their deployment. (These are the older boxcars that have been refurbished and painted black.) One eye-witness from the Cut Bank Indian reservation personally observed these boxcars as they slowly passed through his reservation, noting the doors on some still open and the shackles plainly in view. Disturbed about what he saw, he reported this to a Montana Christian intecessors' group, which reported this to me in person in Bozeman, MT. I personally observed, while investigating in White Fish near Kalispell in the Glacier area, frequent trains arriving with the Chinese 40 foot cargo containers on board, double stacked, all pulled by BURLINGTON NORTHERN/SANTA FE. While I realized that many could be legitimately filled with consumer goods, I also knew that others could be the deadly prisoner boxcar cargo containers. It was impossible to tell one from the other. People who know this dark truth reported ot me with alarm that many of these 40 foot cargo containers have been seen building up at Long Beach Naval Shipyards, which has been turned over to the Chinese. Knowing the role that Chinese troops will play against American resisters of hte NWO/UN takeover (through the Trilateral Alliance Treaty secret agreement with China to deploy their troops against Americans offering resistance under martial law,) they are suspicious as to their nature. Truckers also know some deadly secrets of the New World Order agenda for America. In the course of traveling thousands of miles across America to research this subject, I have interviewed many truckers and their contacts. They have admitted to me personally that they or their trucker buddies have delivered shipments of the MODERN GUILLOTINES, manufactured in China and Japan, and unloaded on the loading docks of San Diego and other west coast ports of entry. Guillotine shipments have been going on in earnest for many years now, and eyewitness sightings have increased. Military sources have admitted helping unload such deadly cargoes at military facilities, to be stored in warehouse for the hour of NWO/UN takeover. Incredulous over the early reports I recieved of guillotines in America, I discussed this subject with Patriot investigator Ed Pack, and former CIA NWO planner Elaine. Both admitted that the guillotines were a reality. Elaine commented, "I have been to the manufacturing plant in Japan where they are made. And I have stood on the loading docks of San Diego as they were unloaded to be distributed across America. I rejoiced, because I knew what they would be used for: the termination of Christians who stood in the way of our New World Order!" Such sentiments were echoed to me by former high level Illuminati/Satanist DOC MARQUIS, now of CHRISTIANS EXPOSING THE OCCULT. Doc told me that when he was personally flown out to the FEMA gassing/crematory detention camp in the Mojave (it has a landing strip) he rejoiced as he was shown around this deadly compound. "My sentiments? I rejoiced over the thought that Christians would be terminated in this place." ("Christians" in reference to being "resisters of the New World Order...THEIR Illuminati NWO! Doc is now a Christian and is exposing the deadly secrets of the NWO.) Personal friends I have interviewed in Washington State have seen the guillotines in the back of one truck. Two state troopers pulled over a truck on the highway these eyewitnesses were traveling on. They were detained by this. They watched as the trucker led the troopers to the back of the truck and broke the seal and opened the doors to disclose the contents. "We were shocked to see that the truck was filled from front to back with nothing but guillotines!" Satisfied, the troopers then left. These people in the car behind the truck came out to talk with the trucker. He was terrified over what his truck contained: it was a sealed shipment. He had not been informed of his deadly cargo! The eyewitnesses recounted, "He was so shocked he turned in his truck and his papers and refused to even deliver his shipment and simply walked away..." (These eyewitnesses are solid Christians living in Spokane, WA.) For Christians who would raise eyebrows at this, I will simply refer them to the Bible as evidence: "Rev. 20:4-"And I saw the souls of them who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the word of God..." While it is true that many, including the Apostle Paul, have been beheaded for the witness of Jesus, if you read it you will see that it is SPECIFICALLY referring to this present time frame of the Kingdom of Satan on earth (the Kingdom of the Beast or AntiChrist) and the period when the cashless society will be manifested with the mark (Digital Angel?) in one's hand or forehead and it's blasphemous world religious system. This is the end-time hour in which we live, friends. And in order to have mass beheading terminations of so many Christian resisters of the NWO, you must have the tools with which to do it. Bible prophecy, even that of negative implications for Christians, will be fulfilled regardless of whether we like it or not. And the guillotines ARE HERE! Expect to see these modern guillotines in the near future throughout America. But if you read the rest of the verse carefully, you will see that there is no need to fear: those beheaded for their witness of Jesus will also be resurrected to reign with Jesus Christ at His return! The end for those who trust Him and refuse to deny Him is TOTAL VICTORY! Because I believe in Bible Scriptures, I have no fear as I investigate and expose such things. And I have chosen to confess Jesus Christ before men and to seek God for the grace to remain faithful unto death throughout the coming times of testing. Will you choose to obey the Word of God, and to confess Jesus Christ before men boldly, trusting Him to bring ou through the coming times of testings??? It makes no difference if such a confession costs you your home... your job... your car and more. There is NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT than your eternal soul! Welcome to the new religious America.

Religious diversity, of course, has long been part of the American landscape. But in 2012, religious minorities became newly visible and vocal in a society historically dominated by the symbols, values and leaders of the Protestant faith.

Now that Protestants are no longer in the majority – as reported in a study released by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life in October – even the term “religious minority” will need fresh definition in our newly minted minority-majority nation.

 

The election of Gabbard and Hirono are just two of many recent signals that demographic shifts and changing attitudes are rapidly transforming America’s increasingly crowded public square.

Consider, for example, that for the first time in our history, none of the presidential or vice presidential candidates of either major party was a white Protestant.

Even more remarkable, the Mormon candidate not only received nearly half of the popular vote, but Mitt Romney was supported in large numbers by many evangelical voters that polls previously told us would not vote for a Mormon.

Religious affiliation (or lack of affiliation) is still a factor in public life, but the level of voter acceptance of candidates affiliated with historically unelectable faiths is growing.

When Congress convenes in January, significant numbers of politicians from groups with long histories of discrimination in America – notably Jews, Catholics and Mormons – will fill both chambers, many in leadership positions.

And let’s not overlook the fact that the current U.S. Supreme Court is made up of six Catholic and three Jewish justices and – another first – no Protestant.

Not surprisingly, there has been some backlash and resentment from those who don’t like the changing religious face of America – or who fear a falling away from the “Christian nation” they believe we are intended to be.

In 2012, American Muslims continued to be prime targets of both resentment and fear with debates in many state legislatures over anti-shariah bills and protests in many communities over the building of mosques.

The most tragic religious-bias incident occurred on Aug. 6 when a white supremacist gunman attacked a Sikh temple in Wisconsin (perhaps in the mistaken belief that Sikhs are Muslims), killing six and wounding four.

But 2012 was also the year that American Muslims joined by many interfaith coalitions pushed back, defeating or stalling anti-shariah legislation in a number of states and defeating several anti-Muslim candidates at the ballot box, including Florida Congressman Allen West.

The growing visibility and strength of America’s religious diversity is good news for religious freedom. The First Amendment affords legal protections, but it cannot fully prevent people in the majority from imposing social discrimination and political exclusion on those in the minority.

As James Madison argued at our nation’s founding, religious freedom is best secured in a society of many faiths and beliefs – with none in the majority.

“For where there is such a variety of sects,” wrote Madison, “there cannot be a majority of any one sect to oppress and persecute the rest.”

Religious diversity, in other words, helps level the playing field, giving people of all faiths and none freedom to compete in the marketplace of ideas.

In religion, as in economics, monopolies stifle growth and innovation. That’s why the end of the Protestant hegemony in America will be no loss for religious people of any tradition, including Protestants.

On the contrary, as domination of one faith recedes, freedom for all faiths and beliefs expands – moving us ever-closer to fulfilling the promise of religious liberty under the First Amendment.

It's interesting how the news seems to be concentrated on certain themes on certain days and today is no exception. More and more publications are becoming aware of what seems to be a big push towards a global form of "governance" (more on this term later) from the EU, the U.S., the UN and now Russia.

 

Just a few years ago, such talk would have been considered as "conspiracy theory" - and that is a term that deserves some discussion. Be very very careful of falling into that trap. One thing I find interesting is the idea that many of the individuals and web-sites who have been calling attention to this movement towards "global governance" should be dismissed and considered as "wacko conspiracy people" - to be completely ignored. If you go back and look at what such people have been saying for decades now - those who were labeled as such (who is passing out these "labels" anyway?) - they have been uncannily accurate as we watch the evolution of the movement to a world government transpire before our very eyes.

Labeling those who closely follow the news - especially the "stories behind the MSM version" - as "conspiracy nuts" is actually a form of censorship. Obviously there are some crazy people and sites out there, but we must be very careful to lump a large group into the conspiracy category and then dismiss what they are drawing attention to.

Having said that - consider the news today in light of biblical prophecy and the coming Tribulation (the quotes from these articles are extensive, but this information is important):

 

 

EU Leader Van Rompuy Calls For 'Global Governance'

While much of the Christian and post-Christian worlds were busy rushing about in last-minute preparations for Christmas celebrations, an important event took place in Brussels, Belgium, that went largely unnoticed and unreported. Leaders of the European Union and Russia met in Brussels on December 20 and 21 for the 30th EU-Russia Summit, continuing a process of convergence and interdependence that is leading toward political, economic, and social merger.

In his remarks at the conclusion of the summit, Herman Van Rompuy, president of the European Council, made repeated reference to progress toward the goal of “global governance,” which has always been code in globalist circles for world government. Van Rompuy stated:

 

By working together, the EU and Russia can make a decisive contribution to global governance and regional conflict resolution, to global economic governance in the G 8 and G 20, and to a broad range of international and regional issues. I would like to congratulate President Putin for taking over the presidency of G 20.

As we have reported in this magazine many times, the term “global governance” is an intentionally deceptive term, used by political ruling elites because it is more vague and mushy and sounds less threatening than “global government” or “world government.” Hence, there will be less political opposition mounted to “global governance” than “world government.”

“Global governance” came into vogue in the late 1990s, following the publication in 1995 of Our Global Neighborhood, a report of the UN-appointed Commission on Global Governance. That report attempted emphatically to assure readers that they had nothing to fear; they were not proposing world government. It claimed:

Global governance is not global government. No misunderstanding should arise from the similarity of the terms. We are not proposing movement towards world government.

United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan practiced the same semantic sleight-of-hand and false assurance at the UN Millennium Summit in New York City in 2000. In his report We the Peoples: The Role of the United Nations in the 21st Century, Annan called for “new forms of global governance,” “a new ethic of global stewardship,” “global norms,” and “global rules” — all of which assume a role for the UN as global legislator.

Many of the political elites who formerly dismissed concerns that “global governance” is a ruse for “global government,” now matter-of-factly admit that they are one and the same. Jacques Attali, an ardent globalist and an adviser to former President Nicolas Sarkozy of France, for instance, has said: “Global governance is just a euphemism for global government.”

 

This is how Denis Healey described a Bilderberg person to me: "To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair. Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn't go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing."

He said, "Bilderberg is a way of bringing together politicians, industrialists, financiers and journalists. Politics should involve people who aren't politicians. We make a point of getting along younger politicians who are obviously rising, to bring them together with financiers and industrialists who offer them wise words.

It increases the chance of having a sensible global policy."

David Rockefeller, a longtime leader at Bilderberg conclaves, was even more explicit when addressing the 1991 meeting of the Bilderberg group. Rockefeller stated:

We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years.

But the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.

What seemed outlandish to many people at the time, and was frequently dismissed as kooky "conspiracy theory," is being confirmed daily in unfolding events — and admissions from those who are causing the events to happen.

 

New World Order

The world is changing dramatically, and the 'world order' is therefore changing too. The western powers of the United States and Europe are in decline, whilst China and Asia in general are on the rise. Many 'developing' countries, such as the BRIC nations of Brazil, Russia, India and China, are becoming more wealthy and more powerful than the established 'developed' economies of the west. Whereas the old international order saw the vast majority of power wielded by western powers, with America as the undisputed global superpower, a new multi-polar world is now emerging, with Asia as its power centre. This new order will indeed see the importance of international organisations increase. The imposition of Western rules and systems will be replaced by negotiated solutions reflecting the needs and desires of a much wider range of countries. Led by countries such as China, which has always opposed western interventionism, this new way is likely to emphasise national sovereignty and non-interference in other country's affairs. There is, from our perspective, an effort to create global governance and the only sensible conclusion to reach is that those who control central banks are behind it. Creating such a scenario demands not just consensus but the manufacturing of consensus on a worldwide level. That takes unfathomable financial resources.

The idea is to generate increasing levels of control throughout society. The mechanism is mercantilism, which allows those at the very top to gain and keep virtually unlimited power, as they are exempt from the laws and regulations being inflicted on everyone else.

Another meme that the article promotes is that China and the BRICs generally are rising up and diminishing Western power. But this is by design, in our view.

Europe and the US, from what we can tell, are being brought down while Asia and certain developing countries like Brazil are being raised up. The tool in use is the central bank that can create both booms and busts almost at will.

The West's topmost elites, the ones that control central banking, are as firmly entrenched as ever, in our view. Those who will be inconvenienced by the efflorescence of global government will be a secondary tier of political, banking, military and industrial types – those who may believe they are among the "untouchables" but actually are not. They may find this out over time to their dismay.

As for the emergence of China and other powers to challenge Western "dominance" ... well, this also seems perfectly predictable and we don't believe that such an emergence is in any way an unforeseen or untoward development.

It is all part of what may be called directed history.

The creation of global governance demands all sorts of stresses and strains. Only from fear and chaos can a new global society emerge. Enemies are necessary. The Soviet Union is no more, so new enemies have to be identified.

Terrorists are one such enemy. The war on terror is very useful because it is an amorphous one that can be used in any of a number of ways.

A terrorist, after all, is someone who has been branded as such by government officials. In the 21st century, many people who believe in freer, smaller societies will be labeled (ironically) as terrorists. And many bankers and industrialists will be labeled as part of the world's controlling "elite."

Why is our administration arming Israel's enemies?

Congressman Ted Poe, R-Texas, says it is irresponsible for Barack Obama to be “arming” a country that may be aiming for the destruction of Israel with a shipment of 20 F-16 fighter jets.

“It is reckless and unwise for the U.S. to give F-16s to Egypt and its new president/dictator, controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood,” he told WND. “This extremist group is notoriously anti-American and anti-Israel. The United States should not be arming a country ruled by a group that has the destruction of Israel in its charter.”

Florida Rep. Vern Buchanan said, “American tax dollars must not be used to aid and abet any dictatorial regime that stands with terrorists,” and Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, said, “We should also be cautious about the arms we provide.”

Obama is proceeding with his plan to gift Egypt with 20 brand new F-16 fighter jets as part of a $450 million aid package promised to Egypt in 2010 when it was led by the U.S.-friendly Hosni Mubarak regime.

Now Egypt is governed by the openly hostile Muslim Brotherhood, which has called for the destruction of America and Israel. The new President Mohammed Morsi, head of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, recently joined in a public prayer to the effect of “Oh Allah, destroy the Jews and their supporters. Oh Allah, disperse them, rend them asunder.”

There are also the more philosophical issues that are thought by some to represent an inherent anti-American default position on the part of the president. The Muslim Prayer Day in 2009 is one such example.

Imams were permitted by Obama to hold a Muslim Prayer Day near White House premises in 2009, the same year Obama prohibited a similar Christian “Day of Prayer” despite the longstanding precedent for such gatherings. One of the speakers at the event is on record saying, “We are going to the White House, so that Islam will be victorious, Allah willing, and the White House will become … Muslim house.”

 

The Hypocrisy Of Government Gun Confiscation Schemes

The hypocrisy of it all is stunning. While screaming, “GUNS ARE BAD!” to American farmers, ranchers and citizens, the government is buying up billions of dollars worth of guns and ammo itself. This isn’t ammo to be used in a foreign theater of war, by the way, it’s ammo that can only be used domestically, against the American people. (The hollow point ammo violates international war treaties and so cannot be used in international war actions.)

• Over two million rounds of hollow-point .357 Sig JPH (hollow-point) pistol ammo (anti-personnel)
• Over four million rounds of .40 S&W JPH (hollow-point) pistol ammo (anti-personnel)
• Over 60,000 rounds of .308 match grade anti-personnel sniper rounds (BTHP)
• Plus, hundreds of thousands of additional rounds of .38 special, .45 auto, 9mm, 7.62×39 (AK rifle) ammo, and others.

'Fiscal Cliff' Distracts As 'Fiscal Abyss' In Japan, UK and U.S. Cometh

The political and media side show that is the so-called “fiscal cliff” will soon be overshadowed by the appalling and rapidly deteriorating situation regarding the U.S. national debt.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has alerted Congress that the nation will once again hit the debt ceiling on Monday, but that his department can take “extraordinary measures” to keep paying the bills for another few months.

Incredibly, the debt ceiling was raised from $14.294 trillion in August 2011, to its current level of $16.394 trillion. Thus in the span of only sixteen months, the Obama administration has added a whopping $2.1 trillion to the national debt.

U.S. unfunded liabilities are now estimated at between $50 trillion and $100 trillion and by the end of the decade (in less than just 7 years), runaway entitlement spending will require shutting down the military or crippling many other vital domestic spending programs to head off massive deficits that will likely lead to a dollar crisis and significant inflation.

No matter what deal is eventually agreed, whether before or after the new year, it will at best nibble at the edges of the trillion dollar annual deficits that are being piled up.

After The Disaster: American Rebirth Or Interment

The question we face in this era is: Will America be a nation essentially organized around traditional families, largely free of government restraint, where individuals generally seek to order their lives according to the inalterable moral norms of the Judeo-Christian tradition? Or will it be a nation where the traditional family is essentially extinct, where people are largely dependent on government for some of their most basic needs and where the inalterable moral norms of the Judeo-Christian tradition are generally flouted and sometimes even criminalized?

Whether that crisis results in America descending deeper into socialism and moral decay or a rebirth of traditional morality and limited government will depend greatly on whether there now emerge national leaders who understand what has happened to us and have the moral courage to speak it plainly.

A Light In Dark Times

Every year the week before Christmas, St. Peter's Church in Purcellville, VA hosts a "Blue Christmas" service. The aim is to offer a message of hope and comfort to those who might not be feeling so holly jolly during the holidays.

Heaven knows, there are many reasons to feel blue this Christmas. From the senseless, tragic loss of innocent life in New Town, CT, to the seemingly intractable political divide paralyzing our nation's capital, to the escalating tensions in the Middle East. It would be easy to give in to feelings of hopelessness, to let the long and dark December nights lull us into a mood of depression and despair.

Joseph and Mary no doubt felt this way as they found themselves preparing for the birth of their son in a cold barn on the road to Jerusalem. Those were dark days. But with the birth of one tiny child, hope was restored to a broken world.

Fr. Tom Simmons, rector of St. Peter's, explained why the birth of Jesus changed everything on a cold winter's night two millennia ago, and why it changes everything for us today:

"Jesus was in Isaiah's words, 'despised and rejected, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.' We cannot gather at the manger with the grimy shepherds and see this tiny baby without acknowledging that over Jesus' manger lies the shadow of the cross.

It's NOT the most wonderful time of the year in all the ways we measure wonderful, and yet in a strange way it is! It is the most wonderful time of the year not because you have to be cheery and happy and merry, but because you don't.

You can have heavy hearts, and shattered dreams, broken spirits and deep wounds. And that's right where God comes to meet you. To comfort you, to restore you, to strengthen you, to give you peace. To die for you. To walk out of the grave for you, to hold you in the communion of the saints with those you have loved and lost. To offer you life that lasts forever. It's the most wonderful time of the year, for Christ is born! Light and love have come. God is with us!"

Immanuel, the Lord is with us indeed. No matter what life throws at us, God's love is unfailing and never-changing. So to all who are in danger, sorrow, or any kind of trouble this Christmas season, to the sick, the friendless, and the needy, may the peace of the Lord be always with you. Amen.
