In ancient times watchman would mount the city walls in times of stress to survey the scene outside the fortifications. He was situated on a spot from which he could monitor the approaches to the town. If a threat appeared, he would sound a warning and the town would shut its gates and prepare for battle.

There is One Who Has All Power....May You Find Him Now
End Of Days News
"Believe, and You are Saved"
For this is the will of God, that every one who sees the
Son and believes in him should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the
last day."
"Praise His Glory"
He destined us in love to be his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the
purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace which
he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his
blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace
which he lavished upon us. For he has made known to us in all wisdom and insight
the mystery of his will, according to his
purpose which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fulness of time,
to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. In him,
according to the purpose of Him who accomplishes all things
according to the counsel of his will, we who first hoped in
Christ have been destined and appointed to live for the praise of his glory.
"Live in His Grace"
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of
love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering
and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual
immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper
for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse
joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be
sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person (such a man is an idolater) has any
inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with
empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are
disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness,
but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of
the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what
pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but
rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do
in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light
that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise
from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." Be very careful, then, how you
live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because
the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the
Lord's will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery.
Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and
spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving
thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
"Be Obedient"
Slaves, be obedient to those who are your earthly masters, with fear and
trembling, in singleness of heart, as to Christ; not in the way of eye-service,
as men-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of
God from the heart, rendering service with a good will as to the Lord
and not to men, knowing that whatever good any one does, he will receive the
same again from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
"Give Graciously"
We want you to know, brethren, about the grace of God which has been shown
in the churches .... for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy
and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of liberality on their
part. For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their
means, of their own free will, begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part
in the relief of the saints--and this, not as we expected, but first they gave
themselves to the Lord and to us by the will of God.
Accordingly we have urged Titus that as he had already made a beginning, he
should also complete among you this gracious work. Now as you excel in
everything--in faith, in utterance, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in
your love for us--see that you excel in this gracious work also.
"Pray Unceasingly"
Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also
are doing. But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who
diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you
instruction, and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work.
Live in peace with one another. We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly,
encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. See that no
one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good
for one another and for all people. Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in
everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in
Christ Jesus.
"Make Continued Progress"
For it is God's will that by doing right you should put to
silence the ignorance of foolish men.
"Keep Sane and Sober"
Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same
thought, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to
live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer by human passions but by
the will of God. Let the time that is past suffice for doing
what the Gentiles like to do, living in licentiousness, passions, drunkenness,
revels, carousing, and lawless idolatry. They are surprised that you do not now
join them in the same wild profligacy, and they abuse you; but they will give
account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this is why
the gospel was preached even to the dead, that though judged in the flesh like
men, they might live in the spirit like God. The end of all things is at hand;
therefore keep sane and sober for your prayers....Therefore let those who suffer
according to God's will do right and entrust their souls to a
faithful Creator.
"Bear Fruit"
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped
praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his
will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this
in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every
way, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being
strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have
great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has
qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
"Be His Servant"
Epaphras, who is one of yourselves, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you,
always remembering you earnestly in his prayers, that you may stand mature and
fully assured in all the will of God.
"Do Not Be Conformed to this Age"
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world--the cravings
of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and
does--comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires
pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
"Hear Your Calling"
And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit,
because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of
God. We know that in everything God works for good with those who love
him, those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew
he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he
might be the first-born among many brethren. And those whom he predestined he
also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he
justified he also glorified. What then shall we say to this? If God is for us,
who can be against us?
"Do not repay Evil for Evil"
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your
bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual
act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect
will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of
yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober
judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Just as
each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the
same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member
belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given
us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.
If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is
encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others,
let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it
is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. Love must be sincere. Hate what is
evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor
one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual
fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in
prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless
those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice;
mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud,
but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do
not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of
everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with
everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for
it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the
contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him
something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do
not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
"Pray for Your Brothers"
I appeal to you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the
Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf, that I
may be delivered from the unbelievers..., and that my service ... may be
acceptable to the saints, so that by Gods will I may come to
you with joy and be refreshed in your company. The God of peace be with you all.
Amen.
"Be Tough, but Patient"
Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For
you have need of endurance, so that you may do the will of God
and receive what is promised. "For yet a little while, and the coming one shall
come and shall not tarry; but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he
shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him." But we are not of those who
shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and keep their souls.
"Be a Part of the Family of God"
Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and
mother."
"Try to Save Your Brother"
For the Son of Man is come to save those who were lost. What do you think?
If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave
the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?
And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the
ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is the will of my
Father who is in heaven that not one of these little ones should
perish.
"Abstain from Immorality"
Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as
in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this
more and more. For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of
the Lord Jesus. It is God's will that you should be sanctified:
that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to
control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust
like the heathen, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should
wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will punish men for all
such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. For God did not call us
to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this
instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
"Be Wise"
Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the
most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be
foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.
